Two cars on fire in Yeovil


    ONE person was treated for smoke inhalation after a car fire in Cavalier Way, Yeovil, on Sunday morning.

    Firefighters were called at 5.10am, and a spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said: “On arrival crews located two vehicles on fire, and immediately got to work using two breathing apparatus and two hose reels jets.

    “Crews requested a second pump to attend for water. One member of public on scene was also suffering from smoke inhalation, and an mbulance was mobilised to treat the casualty.

    “Crews extinguished the fire, also using cutting great to gain access to the rear of a van to check for fire spread.

    “The police were also in attendance.”

    The cause of the fire has not been announced.
