Two arrested after man suffers stab injuries in Yeovil


Two men have been arrested on suspicion GBH with intent after a man suffered stab injuries in Yeovil on Sunday evening.

Police have issued an appeal for information, and a spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following an incident in Yeovil in which a man was injured.

“Officers attended the Sherborne Road/Newton Road area at about 10.15pm on Sunday July 16th and a 30-year-old man was located with stab injuries.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.

“We have arrested two males on suspicion of GBH with intent and they are in custody for questioning.

“If you saw or heard anything suspicious in the Sherborne Road/Newton Road area, please call Investigations on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5217162515.”
