‘Positive’ Chamber of Commerce AGM

AGM: Members get down to business

THOSE attending the AGM of Axminster Chamber of Commerce agreed there was “a more positive and totally different feel” compared to the meeting a year ago.

Chairman Shane Morgan gave an upbeat report, saying the bank balance was a whole lot healthier.

As previously reported, the chamber cut formal meetings to a minimum a year ago to concentrate on reducing formal meetings to a bare minimum and replacing them with social and networking events.

Membership is on the up and new members were given a warm welcome at the AGM.

Mr Morgan also reported increased interaction with chambers in neighbouring towns.
