WITH the outcome of Saturday’s impressive 4-2 ‘win’ against Westbury still to be confirmed following the injury-time abandonment, Chard Town were still officially attempting to secure their first win on home soil when they trotted out at Zembard Lane last night.

SADLY the wait continues after they let slip an early advantage against Radstock Town.

Liam Cleal collected a pass from James Boyland before chipping over the keep to put Robins ahead with his second goal since returning over the border from Axminster Town.

But the visitors equalised 10 minutes before half time and went on to grab the winner in the 76th minute.

The hosts thought they had strong claims for a penalty turned down after Cleal was scythed down. But the spot kick, and probable resulting red card, were denied when the referee consulted his linesman who advised that he felt the offence had taken place outside of the area.

Chard gave a debut to defender Ollie Pearson from Sherborne Town while Nick Jacobs has gone in the opposite direction.
