GARDEN competition winner Dennis Jacobs

AN Axminster children’s nursery worker was delighted when his garden received a well-deserved spruce up in time for the summer thanks to outdoor cleaning specialists Jeyes.

Dennis Jacobs was the lucky winner of a special garden clean up after entering an online competition – the first of six being run by the company throughout the summer months. He was thrilled with the work undertaken at his home, which saw his hedges trimmed, lawns cut, the front patio cleaned and jet washed and the area completely cleared of cuttings in a six-hour tidy-up. Dennis, who has worked for a children’s day nursery for more than 20 years, described winning the competition as a “lovely surprise” and said it had inspired him to spend more time in his garden in the future.

“I was delighted to find out I’d won the Jeyes competition,” he said.

“I’m happy to say the garden is looking fantastic. My wife is more of a keen gardener than myself so it was also a great treat for her to have the garden spruced up. We’d like to thank Jeyes and the gardener for making our garden look lovely.”
