Charity send out warning after incidents of a man posing as collector in Honiton

DEVON Air Ambulance have confirmed incidents over the last few days of a man in Honiton posing as a door to door collector for the charity.

A statement from the charity read: “We’ve had phone calls from supporters in Honiton who have had a man knock on their door purporting to be from their ‘local air ambulance’. Devon Air Ambulance doesn’t authorise anyone (including our lottery canvassers) to go door to door on behalf of the Charity. We would ask anyone who is approached to firstly not part with any personal or financial information.”

The charity also advised that if a collector comes to their door, they should report the incident to the police by ringing 101 and quoting crime number IN/024502/17.
