DID you know Mrs Beeton had a sister? In fact she was one of 21 children and step children! You can learn more about the life and times of this remarkable lady in a one woman show by accomplished actress Alison Neil.

Alison also has a background in historical research and has combined her talents to bring to life the stories of some fascinating women from the past, including her excellent show about ‘Mary Anning, the Fossil Lady of Lyme Regis’, which came to both Yarcombe and Axmouth last year.

With the help of Shute Theatre and Arts Guild’s (STAG) help, Alison will perform ‘Mrs Beeton, my sister’ in Shute Church at 3pm on Sunday, March 19th, and the ‘Friends’ are planning teatime treats to follow.

Tickets are selling now on the STAG website and will be available from the Archway Bookshop, Hurfords Kilmington and Dalwood Shop from February 13th.
